SURG 2100 - Surgical Technology III |
Prerequisite: SURG 1300 or permission of instructor.
This course presents intermediate level participation in the operating room as a student surgical
technologist. Students will learn to manage infection control issues including equipment and instrument
decontamination, disinfection, sterilization and storage of sterile supplies. Students will learn to take and report patient
vital signs, compare the differences between adult and pediatric patients, and help the team manage intraoperative
complications.
