OTAS 2110 - Techniques in Physical Dysfunction
Prerequisite: OTAS 1200, OTAS 1210, OTAS 1220, OTAS 1230, OTAS 2100 (must be taken concurrently), OTAS 2120 (must be taken concurrently), OTAS 2130 (must be taken concurrently). This lab course will put into practice the ideas learned in Foundations of Physical Dysfunction. The student will apply knowledge and techniques used in the treatment of adults and geriatrics whose physical dysfunction negates occupational performance. The course will cover common screening and assessment tools used by the OTA and therapeutic techniques and interventions to address physical dysfunction in various healthcare settings with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.
