MUSC 1700 - Theory II |
Prerequisite: MUSC 1600 or permission of instructor.
This course, a continuation of MUSC 1600 Theory I, is designed for, but not limited to, music majors. It introduces early intermediate levels of musical knowledge/skills relating to notation, intervals/chords, rhythm, harmony and voice leading, sight-singing, keyboarding, and dictation. The course also introduces new dimensions including interval/chord inversions, realization of figured bass, harmonization of melodies, and secondary triads.
