Prerequisite: HSTY 1100. This course provides practical and theoretical training in specialized staining techniques used in diagnostic pathology. Laboratory procedures include performing stains used to identify nuclear characteristics, cytoplasmic characteristics, carbohydrates, lipids, pigments, nervous tissue, and enzymes.
